Our Story

Founded in 2014, Smart Living Learning Earning with Autism (SLLEA) began as a pilot program aimed at helping adults with autism achieve meaningful independence. Over the years, SLLEA has developed a comprehensive five-tier program that integrates skill training, technology, and personalized support. The first Tier smart home served as a model for future initiatives, allowing young adults to attend college, work, and learn to live independently. In 2016, SLLEA became a licensed Oregon Medicaid provider, expanding its reach and impact.

Impact

SLLEA’s strength-based program focuses on autism-specific support and neuroaffirming social skills, fostering personal growth and self-confidence in independent living, higher education, and career exploration.
