Founded in 1995 in DUMBO, Brooklyn, Smack Mellon is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to nurturing and supporting emerging, under-recognized mid-career, and women artists. By providing exhibition opportunities, studio workspace, and access to essential equipment and technical assistance, Smack Mellon addresses the barriers faced by artists from historically underrepresented backgrounds.
