Our Story

Slow Money took root in 2009 with Woody Tasch’s groundbreaking book 'Inquiries into the Nature of Slow Money: Investing as if Food, Farms, and Fertility Mattered.' Inspired by this vision, community members began forming local groups dedicated to supporting sustainable food systems.

Impact

Since its inception, Slow Money has facilitated the flow of $100 million to over 1,000 small organic farms and local food businesses, engaging tens of thousands through various community events.
