Our Story

Slow Food began as a protest against fast food and oppressive food systems in Italy during the 1980s. Today, it has evolved into a million-member movement of food activists worldwide. In the United States, Slow Food USA unites the joy of food with the pursuit of justice, working tirelessly to dismantle oppressive food systems and ensure good, clean, and fair food for everyone.
