Our Story

The Slovak-American Cultural Center was founded in 1967 in New York City by Slovak immigrants who sought to preserve their rich heritage and promote cultural, scientific, and athletic activities. This not-for-profit organization has been a beacon for the Slovak community, organizing events that foster social connections and cultural pride.
