Research Funding for Leiomyosarcoma
Awareness of Morcellation Dangers

Our Story

In October 2013, Amy Reed, a dedicated physician and mother of six, was diagnosed with leiomyosarcoma after a routine surgery. Her battle against the medical practice of morcellation, which exacerbated her condition, sparked a movement. Though Amy passed away in 2017, her legacy lives on through the Slay Sarcoma Research Initiative, dedicated to raising awareness and funding for critical research into leiomyosarcoma.

Impact

Since its inception in 2014, Slay Sarcoma has raised over $450,625 for research organizations focused on leiomyosarcoma, with a goal of reaching $1,000,000.
