Our Story

Founded in 2010 by military veterans in Baltimore, The Sixth Branch (T6B) emerged from a commitment to serve local communities. Recognizing the potential for positive change in the disinvested neighborhoods of East Baltimore, T6B has dedicated itself to revitalizing these areas through community service and sustainable practices. With a focus on enhancing health, well-being, and connection, T6B has become a vital part of Baltimore's ecosystem, stewarding over 20 acres of green space and collaborating with various community groups and schools.

Our Impact

Since its inception, T6B has mobilized over 13,000 volunteers, contributing more than 44,000 hours of service valued at over $1.3 million. Initiatives such as community farms, tree planting, and green space maintenance have improved access to healthy food and nature for residents, directly benefiting over 9,500 individuals.
