Our Story

Sisters Together and Reaching, Inc. (STAR) was established in 1991 to combat inequities in health services for African American women and their families affected by HIV/AIDS in Baltimore City. This community-based organization has expanded its reach to include support for HIV-infected men, addressing the pressing health disparities in a low-income area.

Since its inception, STAR has positively impacted over 40,000 high-risk individuals, providing vital health education and support services to those living with HIV/AIDS.
