Our Story

The Sisters of St. Joseph Neighborhood Network (SSJNN) was founded in January 2000 by Sisters of St. Joseph of Northwestern PA. Responding to the needs of impoverished residents in Erie’s Little Italy, SSJNN began with a weekly soup kitchen and tutoring for children. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services to address broader community challenges, including advocacy, emergency assistance, and community gardens.

Impact

SSJNN provides essential services such as one-on-one advocacy, a weekly soup kitchen, and emergency assistance with food and hygiene products, significantly contributing to neighborhood revitalization and community development in Erie.
