The Simmaron Story
The Simmaron Research foundation was established in 2011, rooted in the pioneering work of Dr. Daniel L. Peterson, who has dedicated nearly 40 years to understanding Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). The journey began in 1984 when an unusual cluster of flu-like symptoms emerged in Incline Village, prompting Dr. Peterson to investigate this perplexing condition. His commitment to patient care and scientific inquiry led to the creation of a unique biobank and extensive data collection, laying the groundwork for transformative research.
