Our Story

In 2018, Simidele “Simi” Adeagbo made history as Nigeria’s first Winter Olympian and the first African and Black woman to compete in skeleton at the Olympics. Inspired by her journey, she founded the SimiSleighs Foundation in 2021 to empower girls through sports and leadership programs, reaching over 500 girls across multiple countries.

Our Impact

The SimiSleighs Foundation has awarded over $1M in grants, positively impacting over 1M girls and women across five countries, focusing on gender equality and empowerment.
