Our Story

The Silver & Turquoise Board of Hostesses was founded in 1950 in Tucson, Arizona, as a heartfelt celebration for volunteers of the Tucson Festival Society. This event blossomed into the annual Silver & Turquoise Ball, which has become a cherished tradition. In 1993, the organization became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, dedicated to the restoration of the San Xavier Mission and the promotion of Tucson's rich cultural heritage.

Impact

Proceeds from the Silver & Turquoise Ball directly support the preservation of Tucson’s historical traditions, particularly the restoration of the San Xavier del Bac Mission, a national historic landmark.
