Our Story

Sights for Hope, founded in 1928, has evolved from the Lehigh County Branch of the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind into a vital service provider for individuals with visual impairments. Inspired by Helen Keller's challenge to Lions Club leaders, the organization has transitioned from teaching trade skills to offering comprehensive support services, including life skills education and technology solutions. In 2021, Sights for Hope rebranded to better reflect its mission of empowering individuals to achieve independence and hope.

Impact

With a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those with visual impairments, Sights for Hope has conducted vision screenings for thousands of children and provided essential transportation services. These initiatives empower clients to navigate daily challenges effectively, fostering independence.
