About Sierra Nevada Journeys

Founded in 2003, Sierra Nevada Journeys is dedicated to providing educational and leadership opportunities for children. In partnership with the Sierra Health Foundation, an experiential education initiative was launched in 2010, offering year-round outdoor science education that fosters healthy communities. This initiative builds leadership, stewardship, and critical thinking skills through engaging outdoor experiences.

To date, Sierra Nevada Journeys has positively impacted over 300,000 children, delivering science-based education programs that inspire natural resource stewardship and develop critical thinking skills.
