Founded in 1949 by Thomas and Lois Lloyd, Shore Community Services began as a grassroots effort to support their daughter and others with intellectual disabilities. Officially incorporated in 1951, the organization has evolved over the decades, expanding its services to meet the needs of nearly 400 individuals annually across 20 communities in the North Shore and Chicagoland area.
For over 70 years, Shore has been a cornerstone in the community, providing essential services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
