Our Story

Shoebox Ministry, Inc. was founded in 1988 by Judy Borgeson in Phoenix, Arizona, to address the personal hygiene needs of those experiencing homelessness and other vulnerable groups. Inspired by an international ministry, Judy recognized the urgent need for hygiene kits in the local community and established Shoebox Ministry to make a difference.

Impact

Each month, Shoebox Ministry delivers over 1,500 hygiene kits, serving approximately 13,000 individuals annually and supporting more than 45 local nonprofits. Since its inception, the organization has provided hygiene products to over 150,000 people.
