Our Story

Shoe4Africa began its journey in November 1995 with a running trip across Kenya. This adventure sparked a mission to collect shoes, leading to the establishment of a nonprofit organization recognized by the UN. Officially named on the last day of the millennium in Zanzibar, Shoe4Africa has grown into a beacon of hope, focusing on healthcare, education, environmental sustainability, and empowerment. The organization has evolved to touch countless lives, reflecting a commitment to holistic community development.

Impact

Since 2015, the Shoe4Africa Children’s Hospital has provided over 1,200,000 medical treatments. Additionally, more than 6,479,432 meals have been prepared for those in need, and over 20,300 children have attended our free schools since 2010. The organization has also created thousands of jobs through the construction of essential facilities, demonstrating a direct and meaningful impact on the community.
