Our Story
In 2014, the rise of ISIS devastated the Nineveh region, displacing the Assyrian Chaldean Syriac people for the first time in millennia. With 12,970 homes, 363 churches, and 140 public properties destroyed, the community faced unimaginable challenges. Today, many families have returned to their villages, and the Shlama Foundation is dedicated to supporting their journey of rebuilding and recovery. Through partnerships with churches and nonprofits, the foundation believes in the power of collaboration to create lasting change.
