Our Story

In 2014, the rise of ISIS devastated the Nineveh region, displacing the Assyrian Chaldean Syriac people for the first time in millennia. With 12,970 homes, 363 churches, and 140 public properties destroyed, the community faced unimaginable challenges. Today, many families have returned to their villages, and the Shlama Foundation is dedicated to supporting their journey of rebuilding and recovery. Through partnerships with churches and nonprofits, the foundation believes in the power of collaboration to create lasting change.

Impact

With a total of $2,298,258 raised, the Shlama Foundation has completed 280 projects across 50 locations, focusing on restoring the lives of the Assyrian Chaldean Syriac people in their ancestral homeland.
