Our Story
The Sheriffs Toy Project serves as the charitable arm of the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department, where participants of the Sheriff’s Work Project create toys, refurbish computers, and repair bicycles. This local outreach program bridges the gap between the Sheriff’s Department and the community, alleviating pressure on an overcrowded jail system while assisting those in need. Year-round, the project supports less fortunate children and families in the Sacramento area, delivering gifts, bicycles, clothing, and food boxes to over 7,500 families during the holiday season.
