Our Story

Founded in 2011 by three passionate individuals, START Rescue is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of animals in need. The organization focuses on reducing euthanasia rates of surrendered, stray, neglected, and abused animals primarily in California, while also extending support to areas like Tijuana, Mexico, and South Korea during crises.

Impact

To date, START Rescue has successfully rescued and transported over 17,199 animals, significantly reducing the number of animals at risk of euthanasia in high-kill shelters. Their collaborative approach with partner organizations has allowed them to save hundreds of animals each year, providing them with a second chance at life in loving homes.
