Our Story

The Shawnee Theatre, Indiana's longest-running summer stock theatre, was established in 1960 by H. Adrian Rehner and his brother. Inspired by their love for the arts and community, they transformed a barn into a vibrant stage, launching with the production of 'My Three Angels.' Over the decades, the theatre has become a cherished tradition in Greene County, showcasing numerous talented actors and fostering a deep connection with the local community.

Impact

With thousands of patrons served and hundreds of acclaimed productions staged, the Shawnee Theatre enriches Greene County's cultural landscape, making live art accessible to all.
