The Shasta Historical Society, established in 1930 as 'Trails of β€˜49', is dedicated to preserving the rich history of Shasta County. As the largest non-university center for historical research in Northern California, it serves over 3,000 researchers, students, and teachers annually, fostering a deep appreciation for local heritage.
