Our Story

After facing immense challenges as a single mother of three, Teresa Jackson recognized a critical need for compassion in the nonprofit sector. Her journey began at the doors of various organizations, seeking assistance for food, utilities, and housing. The experience of receiving minimal help, coupled with feelings of guilt and shame, ignited a passion in Teresa to create Sharing Life Community Outreach. This organization is dedicated to not only providing essential resources but also ensuring that every individual is treated with dignity and respect.

Impact

In the past year, Sharing Life has made a significant impact by providing over $950,000 in rent, mortgage, and utility payments, along with distributing 11.7 million pounds of food to those in need. The WARM program has also expanded, offering 382 hotel stays during severe weather conditions, ensuring that vulnerable individuals have a safe place to stay.
