Our Story
What began as a simple act of kindness on a college campus has transformed into a national movement. In 2018, Evan Ehlers, a student at Drexel University, donated his unused meal swipes, realizing the vast potential to share perfectly edible food that was going to waste. This pivotal moment sparked the creation of Sharing Excess, which has since rescued over 50 million pounds of food, addressing food insecurity across 30 states.
