Our Story

In 1980, Doug and Deborah Clark moved to Lodi with their two adopted children, Amy and Adam. With a background in youth ministry, Doug felt a calling in 1987 to create a safe haven for abused children. This vision led to the establishment of Share Homes, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of abuse by providing loving foster homes.

Impacting Lives Since 1987

Officially licensed as a Foster Family Agency on September 1, 1987, Share Homes has expanded its reach, opening a second office in Elk Grove in 1999 and becoming an adoption agency in 2002. The agency has consistently offered supervised visitation services, counseling, and parenting classes, ensuring that families receive the support they need.
