Our Story
Shalom Institute began as Camp JCA in 1951, evolving into a premier Jewish Community Center dedicated to experiential education and community engagement. With a focus on nature-based Judaism, the organization embodies key values such as Community, Sustainability, Inclusion, and Resilience. Following the devastating Woolsey Fire in 2018, Shalom Institute demonstrated remarkable resilience, quickly adapting to continue serving its community.
