Our Story
What began as a simple fundraising goal to support the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk in Boston has transformed into a powerful community initiative. In the fall of 2009, the town of Seymour, Connecticut, declared a special day in October as SEYMOUR PINK DAY, encouraging residents to SEE MORE PINK in a united effort to raise awareness about breast cancer. This grassroots movement blossomed into the establishment of SEYMOUR PINK INC, a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to fighting this devastating disease.
Impacting Lives
Since becoming an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2010, Seymour Pink has raised over $3 million in the fight against breast cancer. These funds have been instrumental in supporting local hospitals, including Yale’s Smilow Cancer Institute and Hewitt’s Breast Cancer Center at Griffin Hospital. The organization also provides comfort baskets to individuals facing a breast cancer diagnosis, helping to alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with treatment. Additionally, scholarships are awarded to high school students whose lives have been affected by breast cancer, ensuring that the impact of this disease is addressed at all levels of the community.
Why Donate?
Donations to Seymour Pink Inc. directly support breast cancer research, education, and assistance for victims and their families. Every contribution, whether in cryptocurrency or cash, helps to further the mission of uniting the community in this critical fight.
