Founded in 1968 by renowned pianist Robert Schrade and composer Rolande Young Schrade, Sevenars Concerts has evolved from humble beginnings in a small Methodist Church to one of the best small music festivals in the USA, as recognized by Time Magazine. The concerts found a new home in the historic Academy building in 1976, becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Over the years, Sevenars has showcased over 300 guest artists, fostering a rich cultural environment and providing a platform for emerging musicians.
