Set The Expectation

Our Story

Set The Expectation is a nonprofit organization founded by Brenda Tracy, a survivor of gang rape. After years of trauma and witnessing a lack of accountability, Brenda courageously shared her story in 2014, igniting a movement to address sexual violence in sports. The #SetTheExpectation campaign, launched in 2017, encourages coaches to pledge against harmful behaviors, fostering a culture of respect and safety.

Our Impact

Since its inception, Set The Expectation has raised over $172,500 for community agencies serving survivors, signed over 56,000 pledges, and hosted more than 550 events. The organization has successfully influenced the NCAA to adopt a Campus Sexual Violence Policy, expanding its reach to Greek Life and corporate partnerships.
