Our Story
Sequoia Riverlands Trust (SRT) is a dedicated nonprofit land trust committed to preserving the natural and agricultural legacy of California's southern Sierra Nevada and San Joaquin Valley. Formed in 2000 through the merger of three local land trusts, SRT has successfully protected over 44,000 acres of vital land, creating seven nature preserves that focus on the watersheds of the Kings, Kaweah, Tule, and Kern Rivers.
Impact
With a mission to safeguard the environment, SRT has protected more than 43,300 acres across nine counties in the southern San Joaquin Valley, including the Carrizo Plain National Monument. The organization manages seven nature preserves, ensuring the protection of nearly 15,000 acres of native landscapes and wildlife habitats.
