Our Story

The SEED Public Charter School of Washington, D.C. opened its doors in 1998 as the nation’s first college-preparatory public boarding school. Serving 250 students in grades eight through twelve, SEED DC provides a rigorous educational program that prepares children academically and socially for success in college and beyond.
