Founded in 1974, Second Start Learning Disabilities Program has been dedicated to providing specialized education for children with severe disabilities, including autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. With a focus on individualized learning, the organization has expanded its services to include the Newton Learning Center in Reno, NV, which caters specifically to students with high-functioning autism.

Second Start aims to reintegrate students into regular classrooms within two years, helping them achieve significant academic growth. Each student is supported in reaching their Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals, ensuring they thrive both academically and socially.
