Our Story

Second Harvest was born from a vision to meet the material and relational needs of the Sharpsburg community. In 2018, inspired by a bequest to the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church and the closing of a local thrift store, community members began to dream of a place where affordable goods could be accessed daily. This dream became a reality with the establishment of Second Harvest, a nonprofit dedicated to providing quality goods while reinvesting proceeds into living wage jobs and local grants.
