Our Story

The Second Chance for Life Foundation provides vital support to individuals and caregivers facing the challenges of heart transplants and left ventricular assist devices (LVAD) at the University of Minnesota Medical Facilities. By partnering with the U of M Medical Center and U of M Masonic Children’s Hospital, the foundation ensures that patients receive the assistance they need during their most difficult times.

With over 1,144 heart transplants supported and 175 LVAD patients currently assisted, SCFLF plays a crucial role in the transplant community.
