Established in 2012, Second Call Thoroughbred Adoption and Placement is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to the welfare of New Jersey’s retired racehorses. Serving as the exclusive After Care Program for Monmouth Park, the mission is to support these retired athletes in discovering a second calling or profession. Each Thoroughbred entering the program receives the care they deserve, including a period of rest, evaluation, and acclimatization.
