Our Story

In the wake of 9/11, a coalition of Seattle’s business, civic, religious, and academic leaders recognized the urgent need to support the dedicated men and women of the Seattle Police Department. This vision led to the establishment of the Seattle Police Foundation in January 2002, an independent nonprofit organization committed to fostering strong community relationships, enhancing officer training, and providing essential equipment for public safety.

Impact

Since its inception, the Seattle Police Foundation has granted over $14 million to the Seattle Police Department, significantly improving public safety through various innovative programs and initiatives.
