Our Story

Founded in 2011, Seattle Neighborhood Greenways is a grassroots organization dedicated to making Seattle's streets safer for walking and biking. Responding to community needs, it has successfully advocated for traffic-calmed streets and engaged residents to build grassroots power.

Impact

Seattle Neighborhood Greenways has achieved remarkable milestones, including the implementation of 24 miles of temporary Stay Healthy Streets. It has made Seattle the first city in the nation to pledge to make 20 miles of these streets permanent, significantly enhancing safety and community engagement.
