Our Story

The Seaside Seabird Sanctuary, founded on July 13th, 2016, is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing sick or injured wild birds. Located in Indian Shores, Florida, the sanctuary opened its doors on September 1st, 2016, and has since become a vital resource for avian care.

Impact

Each year, the sanctuary treats approximately 3,500 birds, successfully releasing around 1,347 back into their natural habitats. Community education and habitat restoration projects, like the Mangrove Restoration Project, further enhance its impact.
