Founded in 1977, the Sea and Desert Interpretive Association is dedicated to supporting educational and interpretive programs that highlight the unique natural and historic values of the Salton Sea. Operating Visitor Centers at the Salton Sea State Recreation Area and the Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge, SDIA enhances visitor understanding and appreciation of this vital ecosystem.
This year's festival was the most successful to date, with approximately 300 participants engaging at both Visitor Centers. This showcases SDIA's ability to connect with the community and promote awareness of the Salton Sea's significance.
