Southeast Raleigh Promise was established after community listening sessions in 2011, aimed at expanding YMCA services in Southeast Raleigh. These sessions, led by local residents and facilitated by the YMCA of Triangle, laid the foundation for Raleigh/Wake County’s first Purpose Built Community. The organization is governed by a dedicated volunteer board, focusing on enhancing mixed-income housing, health, education, and economic vitality.
