Our Story
In 1993, Jo-El Wadsworth and Paul Winter met Scottie, an eight-year-old boy living in a van with his family. This encounter unveiled the hidden issue of child homelessness in the U.S. In 1999, they established TerraShare, the first year-round camp dedicated to children affected by homelessness. Since then, TerraShare has empowered over 500 children from shelters and impoverished families, expanding its mission to include local at-risk youth and launching the Leadership Education & Empowerment Program (LEEP) in partnership with the UN Refugee Agency in 2012.
