Our Story

The Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund was established in memory of Scott J. Beigel, a dedicated geography teacher and cross-country coach who lost his life in the tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. This fund aims to provide at-risk, underserved children affected by gun violence with the opportunity to attend summer sleep-away camp, fostering personal growth and development.

Impact

In 2023, the fund distributed $378,000 in grants, enabling 262 children to experience the transformative power of summer camp. These experiences equip them with essential life skills and positive memories.
