About Scott Conservancy

The Scott Conservancy is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization founded in 1989, committed to environmental protection and historic preservation. With a focus on promoting public appreciation for the environment, it has successfully acquired and protected over 77 acres of green space in Scott Township and Mt. Lebanon, including the historically significant Kane Woods Nature Area.

Impact

Since its inception, the Scott Conservancy has engaged the community in vital conservation efforts, including the Scrubgrass Run Abandoned Mine Drainage Project, which mitigates pollution in local waterways.
