The Scotia-Glenville Pipe Band, founded in 1991, celebrates the rich Scottish heritage of its founder, Alexander Lindsay Glen. Renamed the Capital District Youth Pipe Band in 2016, it reflects the diverse geography of its talented members. This premier youth pipe band in the United States has proudly competed five times at the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, achieving remarkable success as two-time World Champions.
With a strong focus on youth education, the Capital District Youth Pipe Band fosters musical talent and community engagement through Scottish piping and drumming.
