Our Story
In the late 1980s, a visionary group of arts teachers recognized the need for a dedicated school of the arts in Palm Beach County. Their efforts culminated in the opening of the Palm Beach County School of the Arts in 1990, welcoming 350 students across five artistic disciplines: communications, visual arts, music, dance, and theatre. In 1993, the School of the Arts Foundation was established to raise essential funds that enhance the art and academic programs at the Dreyfoos School of the Arts, ensuring that students receive the best possible education in the arts.
Impact
Since its inception, over 7,600 students have graduated from the Dreyfoos School of the Arts. Today, more than 1,450 talented students commute from various communities to engage in six arts disciplines, including communication arts, dance, music, theatre, digital media, and visual arts, fostering creativity and dedication.
