The Independence School District Foundation was established in the early 1990s, building on a legacy that dates back to the founding of the Independence School District in 1842. Initially created to provide clothing and shoes to students in need, the Foundation has evolved to inspire greatness through giving, supporting students and staff in the Independence School District.
