Our Story

Schola Antiqua is a professional early music collective based in Chicago, founded in 2000. This ensemble is dedicated to preparing and performing insightful programs of pre-modern music, showcasing the rich heritage of historical music from the European Renaissance and earlier.

Impact

In 2012, Schola Antiqua was honored with the Noah Greenberg Award from the American Musicological Society for its outstanding contributions to historical performing practice. The ensemble has recorded previously unrecorded music, gaining national recognition through broadcasts.
