Our Story

The Schiller Institute New York City Chorus was founded on December 20, 2014, in response to social unrest following the Staten Island Grand Jury decision on the death of Eric Garner. This chorus is dedicated to promoting peace and unity through the power of music, performing significant works such as Handel’s Messiah and expanding to multiple rehearsal locations.

Impact

With performances at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall, the chorus is committed to reviving classical music principles and African-American Spirituals.
