Our Story
Established in 1892 as the Scarritt Bible and Training School for Women Missionaries, the Scarritt Bennett Center has a rich history rooted in advocacy and empowerment. Relocating to Nashville in 1924, the center was founded by Belle Bennett, a visionary who fought against racial discrimination and championed women's voices during a time of societal oppression. Today, Scarritt Bennett continues to honor her legacy by fostering a community where education transforms lives and spiritual enrichment is accessible to all.
