Our Story

Founded in 1978, the Scandinavian Language Institute has dedicated over 45 years to offering comprehensive language instruction in Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish. Located in the Pacific Northwest, the institute aims to revitalize Scandinavian heritage through engaging language learning and cultural experiences. With a variety of online classes and community activities, including participation in the 17th of May parade in Ballard, the institute fosters a deep connection to Scandinavian culture.
